Acquisition mandates

How a private real estate acquisition works.

A considered acquisition starts with a defined brief: intended use, preferred property type, investment parameters, timeframe and the factors that would make an opportunity genuinely suitable. This becomes the basis for a disciplined search rather than a broad presentation of inventory.

We source across public and private channels, screen opportunities against the mandate, provide a clear ownership or investment narrative and support the client through evaluation and negotiation. Specialist legal, tax, valuation and technical advisers can be coordinated where the transaction requires them.

What types of property can be acquired?

Mandates may cover exceptional residential, commercial, income-producing, land and development opportunities.

Do you only source off-market property?

No. The objective is to secure the right opportunity, whether it is privately introduced or publicly available but requires informed evaluation.

When should an acquisition adviser be engaged?

Ideally before the search begins, so the requirement, evaluation criteria and approach to the market can be defined from the outset.
